Located at 68100 Ramon Rd in Cathedral City, Boy's Hamburgers is a beloved local gem that masterfully blends classic American diner fare with hearty breakfast staples. Specializing in both hamburger and breakfast cuisine, this unpretentious eatery offers a nostalgic, no-frills dining experience that focuses on delivering fresh, flavorful meals at a great value.
The allure of Boy's Hamburgers lies in its diverse and comforting menu. From the moment you see the sizzling patties and steaming plates of eggs and hash browns, the aromas evoke a deep sense of warmth and satisfaction. Popular standouts such as the Cheese Burger Box—complete with crispy onion rings, golden fries, fried zucchini, and mushrooms—showcase the kitchen’s talent for combining classic flavors with generous portions. The Pastrami Sandwich and Chili Cheese Fries add a savory depth, perfect for those craving bold, hearty bites.
Breakfast at Boy’s Hamburgers is equally compelling. Options like the “Pancakes & 3 Eggs” combo, “Eggs Bacon Hash Browns and Toast,” and the authentic “Menudo” served on weekends create a comforting spread that keeps locals coming back. The breakfast menu is thoughtfully priced and offers both classic omelettes—Denver, mushroom, ham & cheese—and more substantial plates like Ribeye Steak with eggs or Beef Chorizo with rice and beans. For those on the go, the “Have Your Breakfast While You Drive” selections, including fluffy pancakes and hearty breakfast burritos, deliver convenience without sacrificing homemade taste.
Pair your meal with a cold beer—be it a domestic Miller or Bud, or an imported Corona or Tecate—to complete a relaxed dining moment. Customers repeatedly praise the friendly, attentive service, emphasizing genuine smiles and warm hospitality that enhance the cozy atmosphere.
While the atmosphere is modest and straightforward—more “classic diner” than polished bistro—the focus remains firmly on satisfying, affordable food that hits all the right notes. The fried mushrooms and zucchini, often highlighted by returning guests, provide a crispy, earthy counterpoint that elevates what might otherwise be expected as a standard burger joint.
Feedback from patrons like Jose Ortuno, who raves about the freshness and generous portions of the lunch boxes, or Mayra Amaya, who appreciates the rarity of such hearty, non-fast-food fare in the area, perfectly captures the essence of Boy’s Hamburgers: unfussy, filling, and made with care. Of course, some find the ambiance a bit unremarkable, but the consistently delicious food and welcoming staff make it an enduring favorite for both locals and visitors looking for an honest meal.
In sum, Boy’s Hamburgers is a charming, down-to-earth destination where the homestyle cooking shines. Whether you’re diving into a double cheeseburger loaded with melty cheese or savoring a hearty ranchero-style breakfast with rice and beans, you’ll leave with a full belly and a satisfied spirit—proof that sometimes, simple is spectacular.
This place is always delisious we ordered the lunch boxes... one was the cheese burger box comes with onion rings, fries, fried zucchini and fried mushrooms! We also got the the pastrami box was amazing! Defetnelety come and try this place all their food is really affordable, fresh big portions and super friendly service !!!!
More basic than basic. No frills and unsusceptible but if you want diner style food without the diner vibe, this works. It reminded me of Goody’s for those locals reading this. The food was pretty good, pricing is fair, yet the ambiance is blah. Praise to the service staff tho; they were awesome. Don’t hold your expectations too high but it was enjoyable but I probably won’t be back anytime soon. It wasn’t bad but there’s just other options down this stretch of road.
We ordered the mix fried sides, a cheese burger and a chili burger. Loved the fried mushrooms, zucchinis, onion rings and French fries!! They are the best! The hamburgers are good but I’ll order double next time.
Great food choices, the food was great, service was amazing... this type of restaurant is a rarity now a days. We are from out of town and just want to get something quick that wasnt necessarly fast food place. Their breaded mushrooms are great addition to the typical fries and onion rings.
Good standard breakfast. I had scrambled eggs with bacon and hash browns. The hash browns were a lil overcooked for my liking. The girls that work there are awesome!! Pretty pricey at $19 for just one meal of eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast with water.
We get lunch boxes containing a burger and a variety of deep fried veggies: French fries, onion rings, mushrooms, and zucchini. Service is great;×order at the counter, choose a table, and they bring it to you. Always leftovers to reheat in the air fryer.
Food smells amazing and tastes amazing as well. Since I’m vegan I tried fries, onion rings, mushroom and zucchini fries from my friend’s order, and they were all delicious and fresh. The whole place smells clean and fresh from the moment you enter it. I highly recommend it.
I loved supporting a non business chain restaurant. They were friendly, clean, and quick. I will be visiting them again the next time I'm in palm sprigs
